Coaches Register / Upgrade Strategy

All coaches are reminded that the renewal date for the Welsh Badminton Coaches Register is 1st October 2010.

Coaches should be aware that from that date, in line with the Coach Upgrade Strategy (see http://www.welshbadminton.net/Coaching.aspx for full details), Welsh Badminton will only be able to license and insure those coaches who hold one of the following coaching awards

• UKCC Level  1 or higher UKCC award
• The old ‘Intermediate’ or higher award
• The old ‘Leader’ award and have successfully passed the Welsh Badminton UKCC L1 Orientation exercise

and have been successfully CRB checked by Welsh Badminton.

If you are considering joining/rejoining the Coaches Register for the 2010/11 season you will need to ensure that you have met the above criteria to access the benefits provided by the Coaches Register.

Please note that from 1st October 2011 ‘Intermediate’ coaches will also need to have successfully passed the UKCC L1 Orientation exercise before they can be accepted on to the register.
