3 How did you get started in Badminton?
I joined Western Devils Junior club at Western Leisure centre when I was seven.
4 Interesting fact about yourself that not many people would know?
I was born in
Vancouver, Canada. My Grandma is German and my Grandfather Malaysian. My mum’s side is English. It’s good to represent a mixed background.
5 2-3 of your best achievements to date
?
U11 and U13 Welsh Junior National Triple Crowns.
Badminton England Grade 1 U15 and Grade 2 U17 were achieved recently during this season.
Winning multiple doubles titles with my sister Joanna.

6 Goals for this season?
My goal was to achieve Grade 1 status in England which I just obtained. For the rest of the season, I will continue to train hard, playing for the welsh junior squads and aiming for the U15 Welsh Junior Nationals titles.
7 Sporting heroes?
I want a backhand like
Taufik Hidayat and I want to be as fast as Usain Bolt around the court!
8 Coaches you have worked with, (HPC you attend)?
I attend the Cardiff HPC and have worked with John Walsh, Ian Portway, Harriet Johnson, Tony Tullet, Eddie O’Neil, Martin Lewis, Matt Hughs and Irwansyah as coaches. Since September 2009 I have been working with Chris Rees as my individual coach.

Working hard, enjoying the game and taking it to the highest level I can.
10 How does it feel to be part of the HPC/Talent group?
It’s been great to be part of the HPC group and to play as team, in addition to competing in i
ndividual events at a junior national level.
