Insurance
The insurance package offered to Full and Social members of Welsh Badminton has been much improved this season.
Members receive Personal Accident insurance designed to provide compensation following injury whilst playing, training and travelling to and from organised club activities.
The standard benefits provided in previous seasons have been improved and cover for Medical Expenses, Physiotherapy, Loss of Income and Injury Assistance has now been provided as standard (in previous seasons this required an additional premium).
In addition all Welsh Badminton registered coaches now receive Public Liability (now up to £5 million) and Professional Indemnity (now up to £1 million) insurance which provides cover for coaches who are found to be negligent in their duty to participants and spectators and as a result of their negligence cause personal injury or property damage.
This cover is now also offered to all clubs and county associations at a cost of £20 and £40 respectively for the 2009-10 season.
