2010 Coaches Conference
The 2010 Welsh Badminton Coaches Conference took place on Saturday June 5th at the Sport Wales National Centre, Cardiff where the speaker was Martin Andrew, GB and BE Junior High Performance Coach.
Martin's theme was based on developing young players, and drew very much on his work with Badminton England talent players.

2009 Coaches Conference
The 2009 Welsh Badminton Coaches Conference took place on Saturday June 6th at the Welsh Institute of Sport, Cardiff where the speaker was Tom Reidy, the Swedish U19 National Coach.
Tom looked at cutting edge practices centred on preparing young players for the next level of play / practice and gave coaches best practice tools to use in their coaching. Tom also discussed in depth technical, mental and physical elements as well as relationships with parents of young players.
The programme, which is very current in Scandavia, is aimed at players aged 11-15 and how to get them ready for the age group 15 years + and also involves many new exercises to improve strength and injury prevention.

Introducing Badminton & The Coaching Basics Workshop
This 6 hour course is designed to introduce people to the game of badminton and the basics of coaching. Designed as a pre-course to the UKCC Level 1 Assistant coach, it will give the candidate an overview of the laws, scoring, warm-ups, basic strokes, movement and simple routines. Ideal for parents, teachers and volunteers who wish to become involved with coaching and other areas of the sport.

Level 1 Disability Badminton Coaching Module
Welsh Badminton has developed a two day coaching module for candidates who wish to develop their coaching skills for athletes with disabilities. The course covers aspects of most disabilities and provides the candidate with experience of coaching a number of different disabilities. Anyone interested in taking this module should contact the Welsh Badminton Office.
The cost of the Level 1 Disability Badminton Coaching Module is £80 (Welsh Badminton Members £70)
