4 Nations Club Exchange

Is your club interested in travelling to see new places as a group and play some badminton while you are there? Would you like to offer members of your club the chance to take on new competition?

Welsh Badminton, Badminton England, Badminton Ireland and Badminton Scotland are currently compiling a list of clubs who might be interested in exchange visits with clubs from other 4 Nations countries.

If your club is interested in setting up an exchange, contact the National Development Manager at Welsh Badminton 029 20497225 / fax 029 20497224 or e-mail gareth.morris@welshbadminton.net

You will need to give full contact details for one person in your club who is willing to act as the link between the clubs. You will also need to specify if you would prefer an adult, junior or combined exchange visit and if you have any maximum and minimum numbers that you can cater for in this group.

We would like to publish a list of clubs wishing to be involved in this initiative and it will be circulated to all badminton clubs in the 4 Nations that have indicated an interest.

After this is it up to you to have a look at the list and see if there is any area or club that you would particularly like to do an exchange with and make contact.

Please remember when setting up any exchange involving juniors, that hosting and travelling guidelines from the Welsh Badminton Child Protection Policy and Procedures must be followed.

We would be very pleased to receive information and articles of any exchanges that take place. So, why not join in and take your club on tour! Or show a visiting club some real ‘Welsh Hospitality’?

Clubs currently interested in an exchange are:

Penarth Junior Badminton Club (Cardiff) - slwjones@btinternet.com

Nomads Senior Badminton Club - (Gwent) - p.w.murcutt@btopenworld.com

Abercynon Badminton Club (Mid Glam) - egan79@yahoo.com
