The Welsh Badminton Union was incorporated as a Limited Company on the 8th December 2003. The Union elected a Board of Directors who are responsible for the running of the company. Each Director is appointed for a maximum period of 3 years

Coaching & Technical Committee
This Committee will consist of a Chairman and 6 members elected at the Annual General Meeting, of whom one shall be a Company Director.
The main duties of this committee are:

To maintain and monitor coaching standards

To appoint all squad officials

To approve selected players of National Squads
-
To allocate grant aid to approved squad programmes
C&T Committee
Events Committee
This Committee will consist of a Chairman and 4 members elected at the Annual General Meeting, of whom one shall be a Company Director, plus one to be nominated by the Welsh Badminton Umpires Association and one nominated by the Welsh Badminton Referees Association.
The main duties of this Committee are:-

To monitor refereeing and umpiring standards

To organise all national tournaments
including Home International events

To sanction all tournaments in Wales either directly or through County Associations.

To allocate grant aid to approved programmes

To
prepare all guidelines and documents relating to international and tournament procedures

Disability Working Group
The Disability Working group was established after Welsh Badminton staged the World Disabled Badminton Championships in 2003. The role of the group is to develop programmes which provide opportunities for disabled people across Wales, as well as developing a Coaching Education module, which had been adopted by England, Scotland and Ireland.
